They ground soybeans to make tofu, made ciba, and slaughtered pigs to welcome the new year. They also watched intangible cultural heritage performances, like Miao embroidery, the dragon and lion dance, and Miao drum dance. Then they came to the Wedding Banquet Theater of Dehang Fantasyland, where they interacted with the actors, watched the Sifang drum dance and Miao wedding, enjoyed Miao love songs, and tasted authentic Miao cuisine.
As the Chinese New Year approaches, Xiangxi Prefecture has launched nearly a hundred activities with four themes, including intangible cultural heritage, ancient town, homestay inns, and fun.
The winter tourism vouchers valued at 13 million yuan have been issued in Xiangxi. From now until February 28, 2025, tourists can receive a total of 50,000 tourism voucher packages by scanning the QR code or searching for “Xiangxi” and “Mysterious Xiangxi” on the App of LY.COM or WeChat mini program.
